Be more consistent! Train hard and get faster. Stay fit and qualify for Boston with a time that will actually get me into the big race.

9 miles. South on Wasatch and then up LCC to the junction. Back down 9400 s and back along Wasatch past La Caille.

Felt good throughout. Lots of runners and cyclists out today.

10 miles with 1 at marathon pace just for fun. The hip injury set me back a bit. 1 mile at MP was about all I could handle.

9 miles down Big Cottonwood Canyon. Ran with Baptiste from Mill D upper parking lot back down to the mouth of the canyon. He is running the marathon in Sept. and wanted to train on the downhill a bit. He had texted me to say he is running 9:30-10:00 min miles. I thought in my head that we would be faster than that just due to the steep road. We ended up running 7:37 avg for the 9 miles. My hip felt fine throughout which is encouraging.

Also, the canyon was amazing this morning after the rain storm. It was in the 50's at the start of our run!

2.5 miles in San Antonio.

Just ran along the golf course at our resort. Saw lots of rabbits, a deer, 2 skunk. Was hot and humid. Would have loved to run further, but had to be back to our classes at the conference.

Ran up Little Cottonwood Canyon and back down the south side and then past la caille.

Hip felt good throughout, but my left quad got really achey for some reason.

Hip is feeling great. I think it is time to start increasing pace and throw in some speed sessions again.

Met my neighbor and his wife for a tour through the neighborhood. Picked up the pace for the last 3/4 of the 6th mile. Felt fine in the hip region.

8 solo miles

Neighbor bailed on me last second so I decided to run my ususal 8 mile loop up LCC. I got to push myself harder since I wasn't dragging my neighbor around. Felt good the entire run, a few times I completely lost my breathing and had to really focus to get back into a good rythym.

3 solo around the neighborhood. First mile was rough, couldn't find a rythym but just kept pushing and started feeling better by about 1.5. Met neighbors for 5 more slow miles.

First 6 with my neighbor at a slow pace. Then added 2 more miles solo at a much quicker pace. not marathon pace, but in the 7:30 ish range. Felt good throughout.

9 slow miles up LCC. Decided to throw in 1 fastish mile (6:43) on the flatest section of Wasatch Blvd from the La Caille turn to the fire station. Felt good but was loosing my lungs a bit towards the end. I need to start throwing in more of those miles each week to get my speed endurance back up.
